Life Over Pain is a podcast full of inspiring stores from people with chronic pain and/or traumatic brain injury. Their stories are about how they are not defined by their pain or injury. They describe how they make choices to adapt to their present circumstances to create lives of value despite pain and loss. Juliana Froes grew up in Brazil and began experiencing migraine headaches as a young child. She was told she would grow out of them, that they were due to stress and that they were from issues specific to women. But none of these answers proved to be true. As Juliana grew up and pursued her education in the United States, her migraines persisted, even after she put her education and career on hold. Finally, well into her adulthood, Juliana found a doctor who took a holistic approach to her condition. Juliana felt that she was being heard as never before and together.
